Kate Middleton has shared an important update about her health as she continues to undergo cancer treatment. Back in March, Kate announced to the world that she had been diagnosed with cancer after having abdominal surgery in January. Since then, there’s been nonstop speculation about Kate and her condition, which only ramped up when her Mother’s Day post was condemned for being altered. Even though she has occasionally been spotted in public, the photo evidence has been either grainy or nonexistent, further leading to people wondering if things were worse than they seemed. But now, Kate is updating her followers herself and maybe even putting some fears to rest.
The new photo was taken by a longtime royal photographer.
The new photo of Kate was shared on the official Instagram account for the Prince and Princess of Wales. Taken by photographer Matt Porteous, who has frequently photographed the couple and their family, it features Kate standing amongst lush green trees wearing a tan blazer, a white shirt, and jeans.
Kate is opening up about her cancer treatment.
In the post’s caption, Kate gives her followers a long-awaited update on her health.
“I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times,” she began the post.

Cancer treatment and chemotherapy aren’t easy.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” she continued in her post.
“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.”
