However, one family chose to make an exception for their beloved dog, offering him a piece of chocolate as a final treat before he was put to sleep.
In a TikTok video shared by user @lushblends26, the family can be seen giving their senior dog a few pieces of a Hershey’s chocolate bar. While experts strongly advise against feeding chocolate to dogs, this family made a heartfelt exception. Their old dog was nearing the end of his life, and they wanted to give him a special moment to cherish before saying goodbye.
“No dog should go to Heaven not knowing how chocolate tastes,” the owner lovingly wrote in the video.
The family ensured the dog didn’t consume enough chocolate to cause any harm, and they shared in the comments that he truly “loved it.”
