Prince William and Princess Kate ‘worried behind the scenes’ over their children

Prince William and Princess Kate have had private concerns about their three children, a former royal aide has disclosed.

Jason Knauf, who previously worked as an aide for both William and Kate, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, recently sat down for an interview with 60 Minutes Australia.

In the discussion, Jason shared insights into his time working with senior members of the royal family. He also spoke about the Prince and Princess of Wales’ thoughts on social media and how it plays a role in raising their children.

William and Kate’s Private Concerns Over Their Children, Jason Knauf Reveals

Prince William, 42, and Kate, 43, are parents to Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

Speaking with 60 Minutes Australia, Jason reflected on how William experienced childhood under the media spotlight.

I definitely saw the worried mum and dad behind the scenes.

He said: “His childhood in front of the media was quite difficult at times. And then he knew that he was going to be raising his kids to deal with social media and mobile phones and all of that stuff.

“I definitely saw the worried mum and dad behind the scenes, but a lot less in recent years, which has been fantastic for them as a family.”

William and Kate Have ‘Set Rules’ for Their Children’s Social Media Use

Social media is now an integral part of daily life, and many children engage with online platforms from an early age.

According to a previous report, Prince William and Kate are mindful of this and have put measures in place to protect their three young children, just as many parents do.

A source reportedly told Life & Style: “They’d love to be able to totally shield them from social media, but the older they get, the harder that is. So instead, they’ve decided on a lot of rules.

“First thing is they aren’t allowed to have their own accounts. They have shared family accounts that they are all logged into that are strictly for viewing content.”

Prince William ‘At His Lowest’ After Kate’s Cancer Diagnosis

During his interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Jason also spoke about how Prince William coped with Kate’s cancer diagnosis.

The Princess of Wales publicly revealed her diagnosis last March and has since announced she is in remission following treatment.

When asked if he recalls the phone call he had with Prince William about Kate’s diagnosis, Jason said: “It was awful, absolutely awful. It’s the lowest I’ve ever seen him.”

He continued: “The problem was that all this crazy conspiracy theory stuff kicked off in the background online, ‘was she really ill?’

“But they didn’t want to say yet that she had cancer because they hadn’t told the children. They were still working through how to tell the children.”
