While many admired her sophisticated look, some speculated that the color choice was more than just a fashion statement—possibly a subtle nod to Canada, a Commonwealth nation currently entangled in a diplomatic dispute with U.S. President Donald Trump.

A Show of Solidarity with Canada?

Social media quickly buzzed with theories that the Princess was signaling support for Canada, whose national flag prominently features red.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) speculated: “I can’t help thinking that Catherine, Princess of Wales, chose red for Canada.” Another wrote: “Thank you to the Princess of Wales for wearing #Canada’s colour today!!”
