It was a typical morning at Riverside Medical Center when Dr. Hannah Morgan, an experienced ER physician, received an urgent call.
A thirteen-year-old girl was being rushed in, pale, bleeding, and trembling with fear. Her mother clutched her hand desperately, begging, “Please, save her.”
Dr. Morgan quickly assessed the situation. The girl’s abdomen was swollen—clear signs of pregnancy. Shock rippled through the room. A child so young, in such pain.
The girl’s name was Sophie Bennett. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she whispered, “I don’t… I don’t want to be pregnant. I don’t even know how this happened.”
Dr. Morgan crouched beside her, offering comfort while ordering the team to stabilize her. But something didn’t feel right. Sophie’s mother barely answered questions, her tone clipped and evasive. The unease in Dr. Morgan’s chest only deepened.
