Christie Brinkley, aged 70, surprised fans at a recent launch party. Despite her stunning look, her outfit choice sparked debate, with some saying it was too revealing for her age.

Brinkley attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue launch party, celebrating its 60th anniversary. She wore a bold $225 gown with a thigh-high slit and long, dramatic sleeves that swept the floor.

During the event, as she posed for photos, the flowing fabric caught the wind, creating striking poses.

Brinkley also features on one of the covers for the anniversary issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, alongside other icons like Martha Stewart, Tyra Banks, Chrissy Teigen, and Kate Upton.

Brinkley took to Instagram to share the shot as well as the two other group covers, adding that she was grateful to the magazine – having appeared on the cover a whopping eight times since her debut in 1975 aged just 21.

“I am grateful beyond measure for my many happy adventures with @si_swimsuit,” she wrote in the caption, writing how “lucky” she felt to get to know some of the women pictured.
