Camilla Urged King Charles «To Let It Go». Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Now Ready To Become King and Queen

Part 2 of 2

“William really seems to be stepping out and looking to establish his own identity as Prince of Wales in a way that he’s never had the opportunity to before,” one source explained. “And one that supports causes that are important to him but are also still in line with the overall values of the monarchy at the moment.”

The ongoing crisis has, in many ways, brought William’s role into sharper focus, making it clear that he is no longer just the Prince of Wales, but very much the king-in-waiting.

While still recovering, Kate is expected to gradually return to her public duties by April. The couple will also shift more of their routine to London, adjusting to the growing demands of their royal roles.

Plans for a Future Coronation

Behind the scenes, quiet discussions about succession have already taken place. The focus, however, is on a modern and simplified approach. “William and Kate don’t want all the traditional pomp and circumstance that make them seem out of touch,” a source said. They envision a toned-down coronation that aligns with their desire for a more relatable monarchy.

Throughout this period, Queen Camilla has remained by Charles’ side, encouraging him to take a step back. “She’s urged him to let it go and enjoy their golden years,” the insider added, emphasizing her hope for a more peaceful phase in their lives together.

The royal family’s recent health battles have stirred public discussion, particularly around transparency. While King Charles’ diagnosis was promptly shared with the public, Kate’s condition has remained largely private—prompting curiosity and speculation.

Though no official announcement has been made, it’s clear that a shift is underway. As King Charles faces his health challenges, he can take comfort in knowing that his son is more than ready to uphold the crown’s legacy.
