Before leaving, Conrad stopped near the elevator.

Everything he had hidden eventually came into the light.

Our divorce was completed quietly.

I received full custody of my children.

The inheritance that my family had carefully protected remained untouched.

The man who entered the hospital believing that I possessed nothing ultimately discovered that he had lost almost everything.
