Others echoed the same sentiment: “Prince Harry should represent the Commonwealth. He should be wearing a Blue Jays hat,” one person said, while another added, “Meghan worked in Canada, and Harry was part of the Commonwealth — they should have a Blue Jays hat on!”
Despite the criticism, plenty of fans rushed to defend the Sussexes, pointing out that Harry stepped down as a senior working royal in 2020 and no longer formally represents the Commonwealth.

“Harry lives in California. Married to a local. Father to locals. This is silly,” one supporter wrote. Another praised him, saying, “Harry’s just living his best life, and I’m here for it!”
Some called out the negativity altogether. “It’s as if people personally know them — when I know they do not,” one person commented, while another added with exasperation: “Look at the comments — ‘they left their kids at home,’ ‘they’re wearing the wrong hats.’ Calm down, people. It’s okay for a couple to go out without the kids. Everyone will survive.”
Canada, a member of the Commonwealth since 1949, remains one of the realms where King Charles III serves as Head of State.
