The cancellation was attributed to COVID-19 complications among her team and insufficient time to prepare, leaving fans who had paid up to $30,000 for tickets devastated.
During her final performance, Adele expressed her deep emotions to the 5,000-strong crowd, admitting, “I am so sad that this residency is over and so glad that it happened.” She acknowledged the backlash she faced for the last-minute cancellation, noting, “I was told it was career suicide, and Vegas would never forgive me.” However, she emphasized how proud she was of her decision, stating, “If something doesn’t feel right, don’t f****** do it.”
