My Wife’s Best Friend Mocked Her behind Her Back, So I Decided to Teach Her a Harsh Lesson. My wife’s closest friend invited her over for a nice meal, but that evening would show us who she truly was.
She spoke some of the most horrible things about my wife that I overheard, and you won’t believe the retaliation I planned. This lady could never meddle with the people I love, I had to prove to her. My name is Jake. Meg has been my wife for more than five years, and we have a wonderful relationship. Together, we’ve experienced a lot, most notably battling infertility.
We had supper with few friends about a month ago, including Bethany, our maid of honor and Meg’s best friend. There was a good amount of laughter and catching up during the evening.I leaned over to Meg as the night wore on and whispered, “I think we should go out shortly. We must adhere to our treatment plan.” Meg smiled a little and nodded. “You’re accurate. Let’s say our farewells. We said to our friends, “Sorry to cut it short, but we have an early appointment tomorrow,” as we excused ourselves.

We thought the evening had ended well when Bethany and the others cheerfully bid us farewell and we left the restaurant. I had no idea that it was only the beginning. After we left, I discovered my phone was still at the restaurant. I cried out, nervously checking my pockets, “Oh no, I left my phone.”Meg gave me a worried look. “Do you want me to go with you?” I gave a headshake. “Go home, please. I’ll get right on it.”My phone was on the table as I quickly made my way back to the restaurant.
I heard Bethany talking to another acquaintance just as I reached for it.“Oh gosh, did you see Meg?” Bethany scoffed. She is really pitiful! For what does she wish? As soon as I wink at Jake, I have a feeling he will come crawling towards me. I could give him a healthy child, at least.
She’s simply unclean.” My mouth dropped to the ground. How was she able to say that? I’d never give Meg up for this nasty gal. Though I came close to losing it, I didn’t lose it there. Rather, I determined that Bethany need a more severe awakening. I therefore devised a scheme.
I became extra nice to Bethany the following time we all got together. “Hey Bethany, you look amazing tonight,” I said with a smile. She chuckled, obviously loving the spotlight. “Many thanks, Jake! You’ve got a knack for making girls feel unique.” I started texting her periodically and chuckled at her jokes.

I messaged Bethany and included a humorous meme, saying, “Hey Bethany, saw this and thought of you.”It didn’t take long for her to start flirting back, since I wanted her to believe she was winning me over. Jake, you’re very charming. Perhaps we ought to get together more regularly,” she answered.I pretended to be enthralled with her charm as I went along.
I increased it during the ensuing weeks. I made sure to pay Bethany more attention when we were out with friends, and I sent her some beautiful notes. One night, after laughing at one of her stories, I observed, “Bethany, you always have the best stories.” She grinned, obviously loving the attention. Do you agree, Jake? It appears that I do have a talent for it. Meg, meantime, was unaware of what was happening; I didn’t want to offend her by telling her about Bethany’s hurtful remarks just yet.
“How’s Bethany doing?” she would inquire. She seemed to be really content recently.”I would answer with a smile, “Yes, she has been in a good mood.” It must be everyone’s entire focus.”Bethany finally gave in and proposed that we get together alone.

She felt as though she had me completely under control. “Hey Jake, when would you like to grab coffee? One day, she texted, “Just the two of us.” Knowing that now was the ideal moment to reveal the big secret, I consented. Yes, Bethany. What about that tiny coffee shop downtown on Friday?” I answered. She was flirtatious and all smiles when we first met. She said, “Hey Jake,” her eyes glimmering. “I’m so glad you could make it.”
Naturally, Bethany. With a lovely smile, I said, “I’ve been looking forward to it.” I pretended to be even more engaged during our coffee date, giving her the impression that she was winning me over. “You know, Bethany, I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately,” I leaned a little closer.
