He has degrees from both California State University, Los Angeles and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Charles got his bachelor’s degree in theater arts there. His other job was going to Los Angeles City College before he became an actor. Charles didn’t look like he was married or had any children of his own. His next movie with Halloween director John Carpenter was Assault on Precinct 13, which came out in 1976. He played a police officer named Starker again. John and Charles also worked together on The Fog (1981). The Fog also had Jamie Lee Curtis in it. She was in all three Halloween movies with Charles. In Escape from New York (1981), Charles saw Nancy again.

He also played lead roles in many TV shows, such as The Duke of Hazzard, The Betty White Show, Seinfeld, JAG, Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher, and more. In 2021, Halloween Kills was his last role.
